Syamsir Alam (born 6 July 1992) is an Indonesian footballer. He plays as a striker.[2]
As a teenager, Syamsir was recruited by Indonesian club Pelita Jaya FC. In 2006, he spent time training with Dutch professional clubs Heerenveen and Vitesse Arnhem and playing at youth level in Uruguay. He signed for Uruguayan club C.A. Peñarol and played for their Under-17, Under-19 and Under-23 teams. He has also represented Indonesia in its national youth teams: playing in the Danone Nations Cup as an Under-11, before playing for the national Under-14 team. He went on to play for Indonesia at the Under-19 level—participating in the AFC U-19 Championship qualifying campaigns in 2007 and 2009—and has been a member of the Under-23 squad.[3][4]
In December 2011, Syamsir announced that he was signing to play for the Indonesian-owned club C.S. Visé in Belgium's Second Division.[3][5]
